MARCH CDS BLOG HOP

Welcome to Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
MARCH SPRING CLEANING BLOG HOP

You should have arrived from SARAH'S BLOG.
If not you'll want to start at the beginning, on the CDS Blog.
Just hop from blog to blog leaving comments on each blog as you go.  Each blog is giving away a Digi.
LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDY WITH YOUR COMMENT
so we can email your digi if you win.

The prize from my blog is my digi
HOME COOKIN RECIPE CARDS DIGITAL IMAGE
Includes Color White Recipe Cards

I made a little set of recipe cards.
The theme of our hop is spring cleaning. I recently went through all my craft stash and rearranged my craft area.  I rediscovered my PRISMA COLORED PENCILS.  So I colored my melons with colored pencils then embossed them for texture and adhered them to my recipe cards.
One of the recipe cards in the sets leaves room for you to add your own image.  So I added watermelons from my digi WHAT A MELON.

This digi allows you to make recipe cards the size you want
I arranged two on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of copy paper leaving a 1/4" border all around each card on the page.  Then printed it out and cut them in half.  This is what each one looks like before you fill it out, fold in half and place in a bag to keep it clean while you are cooking.

Here's the front of the folded recipe card.

Here's the back of the folded recipe card.

FLUTTERING BY

My dear friend Nancy (nancy littrell) is today's Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers.com
I cased THIS beauty of Nancy's
My Changes:
Made my card square from Watercolor Paper
Added Black Mat
Used one butterfly

I used my new stamp set I designed for A Jillian Vance Design

I heat embossed my butterfly on my main panel and watercolored using Tombow Markers and an aqua pen.
Then I masked the butterfly and splattered ink using a Tombow marker, acrylic block and aqua pen.  I then stamped two more butterflies, colored them and dry embossed them. I adhered just the body to the butterfly on the panel and pulled up the wings slightly.  Then cut and popped up only the body.

MARCH DIGI RELEASE

WELCOME TO CLEARLY DIGI STAMPS (CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS)
MARCH DIGI RELEASE
I will be showing you samples made with my new digis for this month.
You can see the full release on the CDS Blog.

Cameras are all the rage.
I had such fun designing this fun one. I love the smiley face in the view window.  I made the image go off the edge of my card.  I printed part of another camera so I could punch out the focus circle with the heart. I popped it up on the card. Adds great dimension and is still easy.  I added glossy accents to the heart for a little shine and added interest.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Camera Action Digital Image by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Glossy Accents (Inkessentials), Dimensional Tape, Licorice Divine Twine, Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper 1/2" (We R Memory Keepers), 1 3/8 circle punch (SU)

I always need just a little notecard to put in packages when I send them.
This image works perfectly.  Easy peezy.  I made the image 3" square in Microsoft Publisher.  I made a 3" card out of it and cut along the tear lines at the bottom.  I used text boxes to make the sentiment on it as well.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Camera Action Digital Image by Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Ribbon, Smash clip (K&Company)

My samples above were made using this brand new digi I designed

Here is my sample using my new digi COOL TAPE.
I used color images.  These color images are see through to give the appearance of Washi tape.  When the color images are overlapped you can see through them. I love that look.  I printed extra images of three images and cut out just the button centers.  I pulled black thread through all the buttons..just some are popped up to give more dimension and interest.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Cool Tape Digital Image by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Black DMC Pearl 5 thread, Scor-Pal, Dimensional tape, 1/16" hole punch, paper piercer

COOL TAPE

Here is my first sample using my new digi HOME COOKIN RECIPE CARDS.
I printed my digi to be 5 1/2 x 8 12 including a 1/4" border all around.  It makes a perfect inside of a card to share a favorite recipe.

This is the outside of my card using an older digi of mine SOUPER.
There is also a white recipe card in the new digi that has spaces to place an image of your choice.  You could use this idea and customize your recipe card to match your card.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Home Cookin Recipe Cards Digital Image, Souper Digital Image by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White, Kraft (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Licorice Divine Twine, Hey You Chipboard (Basic Grey), Score Tape, Cuttlebug, Sizzix Embossing Folder Plaid, Dimensional tape

My next sample shows how you can use this digi to make a little recipe card to attach to a sample (I made 2 cookies and put them in this 3" cello bag).
Here I made Rolo Ritz Cookies. You should try them. They are so yummy.
Here's the back.
However I did minipulate the digi for them to show this way using the crop tool.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Home Cookin Recipe Cards digital image by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Stapler, Cello bags, Cookies

I made a set of Recipe Cards using my new PDF.
All you have to do is select the recipe cards you want to print (2 on each sheet...6 colors to choose from) and print.  Easy. That is why I made it a PDF file.  No fussy with size.  The Recipe cards are 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 when folded.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Home Cookin EZ Print Recipe Cards PDF by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White, Kraft Chartreuse (PTI)
INK:Printer
ACCESSORIES:Licorice Divine Twine, {die}lightfully Charming Circle Die (A Jillian Vance Design), Pear Clip (A Jillian Vance Design), Paper Crimper, Clear Bags

AJVD Springtacular Blog Hop

Welcome to the A Jillian Vance Design
Spring Spectacular Blog Hop
Come hop along with us this week. We are celebrating spring with pastels, inspiration and a prize.
You should have come from BUNNY'S BLOG.
If not, you'll want to start at the beginning on the A JILLIAN VANCE DESIGN BLOG.  (You'll find all the rules and prize details there)

I made these mini notecards.
I need these for popping in packages, lunches, gifts etc.  They are also known as "scraplings" since they are made from scraps.  I stamped my image colored it then stamped another chick on scrap, colored, cut out, embossed and adhered to card.  I love the look of this embossing folder on these.

Here's a little closer look.
Hard to fit them all in the photo and get a nice clear pic.

I used my new release I designed
This set is not just for Easter/Spring.
It can also be for baby and everyday.

Now Hop on over to RUBY'S BLOG.

NICE GROWING YOU

I have one card for two challenges.
First,
I used this cute joke from my digi SOME BUNNY.  Instead of putting the sentiment in the center panel I wanted the punch line too so I put the image in the center and the sentiments on the other two panels.

Second,
I did it using my Copic markers from left to right on my carrots.

I used my new digi I designed for Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Some Bunny digital image by Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:White (PTI)
INK:Printer, Copic Markers Y38, YR02, YR04, YR07, YR09, YG21, YG23, YG25, YG06, G99

Here is a list of all of the links in case you get lost along the way.
Judy Rozema
Trudy Sjolander

I am so excited and happy to be apart of this blog hop,
showing off my sweet friend and (Sista) Trudy Sjolander's newest stamp release for Inky Antics.  Whoo-hoo True!  I just love these bees.  They stamp so nice.

Here's how I made the sentiment curve.
I used my Fiskars stamp press (the small one).  I placed the bee hive image on the press then aligned the sentiment below and curved it to match the curve of the bee hive.  Works like a dream. Just love how clear stamps can do this.

I colored my images using Tombow Markers and an aqua brush.
I took a watercoloring with Tombow markers class taught by my talented friend Kim Teasdale and used her technique on this card.  Here are the colors I used.
Blue: 452, 451, 528
Gray:N57, N79, 992
Yellow:090, 055, 985

I got to use this awesome set designed by Trudy Sjolander for Inky Antics
SWIRLY BEES CLEAR STAMP SET

Make sure to leave a comment on every stop, to increase your chances of winning the prize package.
One lucky commenter from a randomly picked blog will win all 6 stamp sets!
The winner will be announced on True's Blog on Monday, March 11th. Your next stop on the hop is BONNIE'S  blog.
