Demand Chocolate

This week's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #142 is a color challenge this week.
Chocolate
Red
Ivory

I know it doesn't look like I used ivory but I did. I use watercolor paper which is ivory looking. But in the picture it looks white like my card background. Oh well.

Isn't this image awesome? When I saw the colors for this challenge I immediately went to the chocolate theme. I searched for chocolate digital images on the internet and found this wonderful blog - paulaposts.blogspot.com. Check out her FREEBIES.

I used my new Marvy Le Plume alcohol markers I won from SRM Stickers. I love them.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Free Digital image from paulaposts.blogspot.com
PAPER:Cottonball White, Silk watercolor paper (Clear Dollar Stamps)
INK:Printer, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain , Marvy LePlume alcohol markers R818, E867, E868

Pumpkin Leaves

Hi. I am a bit under the weather with bronchitis. I am on meds and hope to recover quickly. Emphasis on the word HOPE. Gotta think positive right?! But I cannot let myself get behind. Today I am playing in the WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE #346 on Splitcoaststampers. Hannah's challenge is to use leaves.

So I pulled out JULY'S SOM LEAF HELLOS and SEASONAL SWAGS from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

The front oval is the card...it opens. The rest of the card is built behind it. I used spellbinders ovals to make the pumpkin. My stem I just cut free hand. The leaves are stamped, sponged with distress inks, cut out, sponged the edges, heat embossed with VersaMark and Clear Embossing powder and adhered to the card behind the front panel. I just love how the inks colored and blended to get the look of a turning fall leaf.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: July SOM Leaf Hellos, Seasonal Swags (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Orange Whip, Ripe Olive (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers: Memento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Distress Inks Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint and Fired Brick, VersaMark
Accents/Tools:Ripe Olive (sheer ribbon), Spellbinders oval labels and ribbon tag trio, Cuttlebug, CB Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Score Tape (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Scotch dimensional tape, Tim Holtz blender tool
Techniques:Shape card, dry embossing, sponging

Tools of Hope

Have you heard of the HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO CHALLENGES at splitcoaststampers? It is a month of challenges (October) for you to create cards and send them to a cancer center for Breast cancer patients. Isn't that awesome.
And there are even
prizes.
LEARN ABOUT IT HERE!

I finally found some time to play in the HOPE YOU CAN CLING TO CHALLENGE #25. Jeanne's challenge is to make a Birthday card.

I went with a masculine birthday card...no pink though. In fact I just didn't even think to put any pink on it. Oh well.

I used the awesome set MIX 'N' MUGS by FLOURISHES. I stamped it four times and colored and cut out different pieces of it for dimension. I sponged all my edges, glued them all together them popped them up on my card and added dimensional glaze for a little pizazz. I drew my black line with a 3/4" border all around first then adhered my image. I just love this set.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Mix 'n' Mugs (Flourishes)
PAPER:Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps)
INK:Memento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), ZIG Millenium Black pen .05, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Marvy LePlume Alcohol Markers AG873, AG875, AG877, OY844, YG15, R818, G653

Dirty What?

Introducing Lisa Lara..........................to the DIRTY DOZEN!
Can you believe it?

My SCS name is lisa lara if you'd like to visit me there.

Oh my goodness.....was I ever shocked when Lydia gave me the news (she can be very sneaky). I shouted "No Way" about a hundred times and was jumping up and down. My son had just come home from school and figured I got some good news having to do with stamping. Hee.

I am so very honored to be among so many talented ladies. Oh goodness.

Would you like to know who my Dirty sister is? You can visit her HERE and she is giving away some yummy goodies to celebrate. I on the other hand did not come up with that brilliant idea. But I will have Birthday Blog Candy here in December. Yes I will.

Spice UP Your Day

Today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #139 is an inspiration challenge on this photo below:

When I saw this photo I knew I had the perfect image to use. I used SWEET AND SPICY digi from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. I printed my image four times in the size I wanted. Then colored, cut them out and layered them (without dimensional tape). I did adhere the whole image with dimensional tape though.

I made 1/2" strips from Worn Parchment and ran them through my Cuttlebug using the Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder and sponged the edges. Then placed them how I wanted. I love how they frame the sentiment and make just the right place for my image to rest.

I put dimensional glaze on my image to finish it off.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Sweet and Spicy digital image (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Cottonball White, Worn Parchment (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Printer, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Copics YR23, E37, BG15, R29 (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accessories: Cuttlebug, CB Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder, Dimensional tape, Dimensional glaze, Score Tape (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Embossing tool
Techniques: Distressing, Dry Embossing, Paper Tole, CAS
