Paper Smooches July Sparks Challenge

I'm hooked on PAPER SMOOCHES STAMPS. This is a new challenge from Paper Smooches.
Here's all the deets for the JULY PAPER SMOOCHES SPARKS CHALLENGE. It's fun just to play with their images but you'll find lots of inspiration and amazing prizes for this challenge.

I'm also trying to play in the Dare To Get Dirty 2011 Week Challenges open to all SCS FAN CLUB MEMBERS.
For the Paper Smooches July Sparks Challenge...I followed the very middle sketch.
I used three stamp sets HANG UPS, FOLKal POINTS and SANTA PAWS.

The leaves at the top is made by using the large leaf from the Hang Ups set and masking it. The sentiment is also from Hang Ups.

Apples are made using the apple from FOLKal Points set. I masked the heart with masking tape and stamped onto dp. I cut out minus the stem and leaves. I drew the faces on myself and punched out 1/4" circles for cheeks.

The stitch lines are from the set Santa Paws.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Hang Ups, FOLKal Points, Santa Paws (Paper Smooches)
PAPER:Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Country Drive (Echo Park)
INK:Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Walnut Stain, Copics YG06, G09, G14, G05, ZIG Milennium pen .05 black

Clean And Simple Challenge #128

I have not played in the CAS (Clean And Simple) Challenge on Splitcoaststampers in a few weeks. I've been missing it. So happy I had time to play today! Yay. I just love the clean, fresh look of CAS with one focal point.

Today's challenge theme is Tags. I thought and thought like Winnie the Pooh when he sits and taps his paw to his head. He says "think think". I love it. Makes me giggle. I was a Nanny and the kids had to watch Winnie The Pooh over and over and OVER. I have parts memorized. Hee.

So after thinking like Winnie The Pooh, I decided to make a jean pocket with a Levis Tag. I love this new released sentiment HAPPY BIRTHDAY from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. This card is going to be for my neice who just turned 15. I thought a daisy in the center would work so I used DAISY DUO from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

For the pocket I cut my 4 1/4 square card to look like a pocket (with the Still Waters CS on top adhered with removeable tape). I removed the Still Waters top and did the direct to paper technique using Deep Sea Ink Pad by pulling it down the paper at a slight angel using the top of the pad. I let it dry and repeated with Whisper White Craft pad. Then I faux stitched with a white gel pen. Simple.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: Happy Birthday, Daisy Duo ( Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Bee Pollen, Still Waters (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers: Deep Sea (Clear Dollar Stamps), Memento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Whisper White Craft (SU), White Gelly Roll Pen, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Accents/Tools:Bee Pollen Crystal Sticker (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Scotch foam tape, Tim Holtz Blending Tool
Techniques:Faux Denim, Faux Stitching, Levi tag, Paper Tole, Distressing

Thank you for visiting me today!

So I rubbed on the flowers in the corners then colored them with copics, stamped my sentiment, embossed and sponged the corners. Then I added the bling..stickers that came with the rub-ons. Yay. I got to play.

New SVG/PDF Releases

Sorry I'm late posting (I'm passing kidney stones)

It is the 22nd of the month....that means...

NEW SVG/PDF RELEASES
Check them all out on the
CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS BLOG.

Wondering what SVG and PDF files are?

SVG File - This is a file that you can use with your favorite cutting machine (Silhouette, Klic-N-Kut, Pazzles Inspiration, BossKut Gazelle, Black Cat Cougar/Lynx, US Cutter MH/LaserPoint, CraftWell's eCraft) and SVG program (we use Sure Cuts a Lot)

PDF File - This is a file that you can print out on your printer and cut out to create these fabulous designs!

PICNIC BASKET SVG/PDF

I used this quarter's SOM A TIME FOR TAGS FREE with a $40 order. Available through September. I stamped the circle tag and punched out with a 1 3/8 circle punch and used like a button here.

For my paper on the basket I used Worn Parchment and did the faux wood technique as scene on my tutorial HERE. I used inks Wild Ginger, Ripe Olive and Hot Cocoa for this technique. Just scroll down on the above tutorial link to see it.
I love how you can hide a sentiment on the inside of these flaps so when the recipient goes for thier treat they are surprised with an uplifting sentiment. This is from the LITTLE STRAWBERRY COLOR DIGITAL IMAGE.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: Little Strawberry Color Digital Image, A Time For Tags July 2011 SOM (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Worn Parchment, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Country Drive (Echo Park)

Techniques:Digital, SVG, Treat Box, Faux Wood, Dry Embossing

Here you can see that this SVG can be used to make this basket card as well. I just used the large side panel of the basket and cut a 1/8" off each side end to fit my 5 x 5 card. The tutorial for this is HERE.

Same here...I used the MINI CARD SVG/PDF to make a car card. Tutorial HERE.

CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS JULY BLOG HOP

This Month's Blog Hop Theme is
SUMMERTIME

2 random winners will be chosen from comments left on DT blogs. Each will receive a $10 gift certificate to Clear Dollar Stamps to use on Clear or Digital Stamps ONLY.

Winners will be announced on the Clear Dollar Stamps blog as well as here Wednesday July 20th.

If you came from CHRISTI'S BLOG you are in the right place.
If not please start at the beginning on the CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS BLOG.

What says SUMMERTIME like fresh yummy strawberries?! My husband planted strawberries in our garden this year and we have been enjoying them daily. Yum.

I used the Digital image LITTLE STRAWBERRY COLOR. I worked in Microsoft publisher to set up my text box and layer my strawberries using the png strawberry image. Png allows you to overlap images. Which is what I needed here since the berries are visible through the basket.

The basket is a preview of the new SVG/PDF PICNIC BASKET TEMPLATE that will be released Friday, July 22nd. I used a side from the basket template for my card. My card is a 5x5 square.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: Little Strawberry COLOR Digital Image (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Worn Parchment
Inks/Markers:Printer, Palette Ink Pads Ripe Olive, Hot Cocoa, Wild Ginger, Whisper White (SU)
Accents/Tools:Picnic Basket SVG/PDF (Clear Dollar Stamps), Cherry Go Round Crystal Stickers, Scotch foam tape, Large Round Corner Punch
Techniques:Faux Wood Technique, Digital, SVG

Free For All Challenge #73

My children say I never really "WATCH" my tv show or movie. "Mom you just stare at the wall". Translation....my craft area is in the family room against the back wall. I make cards ALOT while watching my favorite shows Martha Stewart, Criminal Minds, So You Think You Can Dance... They don't think I'm paying attention...but I listen!

I made this card for today's FREE FOR ALL CHALLENGE #73 on Splitcoaststampers while I was watching CSINY. It was even one I had not seen before...a plus. Hee.

Today's challenge is TWINE. So I decided to use this brand new release BIRTHDAY PARTY from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS using the banner from the set. This set is packed with birthday images from cake to ice cream cones with banners in between.

I made the banner by folding my DP over and stamped the each banner right up to the fold and cut out. I then colored the dots in brown, sponged the edges and glued each banner with the twine in between. (I learned this technique watching a Martha Stewart show BTW).

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Birthday Party (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:Cottonball White, Hot Cocoa (Clear Dollar Stamps), Country Drive (Echo Park)
INK:Memento Rich Cocoa (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Walnut Stain, Copic E29 (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
ACCESSORIES:Sponge, Martha Stewart Baker's Twine, Painter's Tape
TECHNIQUES:Masking, Sponging
