CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #104

ROCK & ROLL is the theme for this week's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE on SCS.

I pulled out the stamp set ROCK ON from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. Then racked my brain what to do.... a record was the idea I came up with but I wasn't sure how to incorporate it. Then I looked at all the cool sentiments in this stamp set and decided to do a word collage. I have been seeing a lot of them recently on SCS and I love them. So I decided to give it a try.

So I put the sentiments on scrap paper and laid them out the way I wanted then put my large acrylic block directly on top to pick them up and keep them in place. I stamped on my card and put the record where I wanted it and continued stamping the sentiments one at a time filling in the blanks til it looked the way I wanted. Pretty simple really. And fun to see all the different ways you can use a stamp set.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images: Rock On (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps), Melon Mambo (SU), Echo Park Be Mine
Inks/Markers:Momento Dye Ink Pad Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accents/Tools:Pop Up Squares, Ribbon, 1 1/4, 1/2, 1/4 circle punches, Score Tape (from Clear Dollar stamps

CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS BLOG HOP WINNER

THE BLOG HOP WINNER HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
Check it out HERE on the CDS Blog.

INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #269

Aren't these the happiest houses? They are happy because my deployed Marine son is coming home from Afghanistan in just a couple months. Yay.

I played in today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE ...ROOMS BY ZOYA B on SCS. My inspiration was THIS piece of fabric.

I used TABS & TAGS stamp set, TABS & TAGS DIE SET and NICE NEIGHBORHOOD from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I stamped my houses on white CS, colored simply, dotted with white gel pen and cut out. Then adhered to the black panel after I cut it with pinking scissors. I trimmed off the excess of the houses that hung over the edge lining up the pinking scissors. I then rubbed my panel with the embossing buddy, stamped happy covering with white embossing powder as I went then heat embossed. Then I embossed it using a large embossing folder. Then I cut out my tab die, stamped my sentiment, dry embossed and adhered with brads. Popped up with dots and Voila. Happy Houses.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images:Tabs&Tags, Nice Neighborhood (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Night Eclipse, Lime Juice, Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers:Momento Dye Ink Pad Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Whisper White (SU), Bic Mark-It Markers, White Gelly Roll Pen

AnnaBelle Stamps Sketch Challenge 034

It is time for the February AnnaBelle Stamps Sketch Challenge
This was a fun sketch.

I had fun using Lil Michelle With Teddy. I stamped her twice, colored her and cut her out whole for the bottom layer and then left off her legs and her left arm for the top layer. I ahered the layers directly on top of each other (no pop up dots) except I did not glue her skirt on the top layer. Instead I folded it upward for dimension. I did cut and free the skirt from her hand. Then I put pop up dots under her on the card.

The whole card front is adhered to the card base with dimensional foam adhesive. I did this to allow room for the Natural Cotton Twine I used to thread my buttons with.

For the sentiment I masked the sentiment so I could stamp each word separately along the top of the circle. I used masking tape.

I used my Mixed Sprinkles Girls for the dots on the sketch on the bottom. But felt something was missing around my sentiment. So I used some more on the circle. This seemed to brighten it up and give it balance too.

Now You can go to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog and see the rest of the talented Design Team's creations using this sketch. Hope you join us this month. You'll want the prize.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Lil Michelle With Teddy (AnnaBelle Stamps)
PAPER:Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps), Echo Park Life is Good Collection
INK:Momento Dye Ink Pad Rich Cocoa, Bic Mark-It Markers (Staples), Tim Holtz Distress Ink Worn Lipstick
ACCESSORIES:Natural Cotton Twine (AnnaBelle Stamps), Sprinkles Mixed Girls (AnnaBelle Stamps), Mouse Pad, Thread, Needle, Paper Piercer, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Dimensional Foam Adhesive, Tim Holtz Blening Tool, Basic Grey Buttons, Score Tape
TECHNIQUES:Paper Tole, Stitching, Sponging

WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE 307

Oh you just have to see the Rainbow in the gallery for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE....RAINBOW BRIGHTS at SCS.

I was not going to play today, but then I got browsing the SCS gallery and was so inspired by all the beautiful creations for this challenge.

So I pulled out my Copic markers and this is what I came up with. Then I gound this scripture from SCRIPTURE OCCASIONS by CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

And it all just came together. I think this one will just sit out and remind me of the Gifts God gives us. So...this card is a 10 minute or less card. Love those. Doesn't hardly ever happen at my craft table...don't know about yours. I just swiped my Copics back and forth a couple or so times. I recommend practicing a little on scratch paper to see how you like it...size wize etc. Then I just heat embossed my sentiment and added a clear cystal sticker. Voila. Don't you just love it when a card comes together.

Wishing you a happy day.

CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE time. Today's challenge is to use flourishes.

I used PLUMES AND BLOOMS from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I used the second generation stamping technique for my flowers. This color is so pretty. I stamped flourishes on the two corners. This flower is a flourish type flower too.

I took my 4x4 piece of Worn Parchment and cut my shape from the center. Then I took the shape piece and cut another smaller from it so I had a ring. I adhered the the square to the card then popped up the shape cut out. Fun.

STAMPIN' SISTERS IN CHRIST CHALLENGE #72

This is for the STAMPIN' SISTERS IN CHRIST CHALLENGE #72. Clear Dollar Stamps is the sponsor this week. So I just had to play.

The theme for this week's challenge is NEW. Grace is hostessing and she has a great post so be sure to check out the above link. So keeping with the theme.....I used my NEW HEART....I got these scallop Nestabilities for Christmas. When I think of a new heart....I think of when I was baptized...the change that took place in my heart. I think of repentance which is a daily thing...I have a new heart to turn away from that sin. I am sooooooooooooooooo not perfect....but turning my heart to Heavenly Father in prayer and accepting his will....I become a better person a NEW person.
This heart shaped pencil holder is also for tonights mini VSN on SCS for FEB11VSNMINI2. To make a heart shaped base project.
I used the new release LOVING CRITTERS from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS. I cut out two hearts and adhered them together for each the front and the back. Then sponged the edges and embossed them with the heart embossing folder. I used 1/16" dimensional tape on the edges of the top of the heart and adhered them together. The pencil just slides in there. Works Great. I stamped my pig, colored him with Copics, cut him out and sponged the edges. I punched out the label..stamped my sentiment and adhered to the pig and put a piece of dimensional tap close to the pig under the sentiment. That's all there is to it.

WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE 306

Fun. I love challenges because they teach me so much. I played in today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE....ABSOLUTELY GRADIENT ON SCS.

I did not know what Gradient Stamping was. Now I do. It is stamping your image onto an ink pad that has two or more colors. The challenge link has ideas of how you can do this. I just happened to have a multi ink pad from Inkadinkado that I used.

I used this versatile stamp set HEART FLUTTERS and the CUTTIN' UP SVG FILE - HEART FLUTTERS SVG FILES from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

Clear Dollar Stamps is now designing SVG files. Information on this and the program to use with them HERE.

I masked off my card front and brayered a border using the Inkadinkado Tropical Rainbow Ink pad. Then I cut out my hearts using the SVG files and my Cricuit then stamped them using the same ink pad. I stitched the border using a variegated DMC floss. This was fun.

RECIPE:

LOVE FOR KATIE

I told you I'd be back after I purchased the HELP FOR KATIE digi bundle from jakheath.com. Here is a card I made using the cute digi Lollipop We Love You Mommy by LORi Designs. This is one of 20 wonderful digis you will get when you purchase the bundle and have all the proceeds go to Katie's family. Money well spent I say.

So the funny thing is this card started with that one little flower. Hee. I was headed to Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Teaparty 128 for Katie. So I made my flower with the gold.

Then I wanted to use one of the digis from the HELP FOR KATIE digi bundle I purchased Monday. My asthma flared up and threw my plans back a few days.

So I used the SCS's Sketch Challenge 315 to use with my digi and flower. So I went to work on it...I did not have it done yet by this evening so I checked the WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE 305 BUTTERFLY BLISS and decided to add some butterflies. I just used them from a couple border punches.

Then.................I thought I'd check the FREE FOR ALL CHALLENGE 47 TEXTURIZE ME and realized all I had to do was add one more embossing folder to my card. I had the heart embossed bg already. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....I thought....and realized I could color another heart and emboss that. So that is what I did.

So my card evolved over the past few days. Hee. Pretty funny.

RECIPE:
Stamps:
Digi by LORi Designs Lollipop We Love You Mommy (HELP FOR KATIE digi bundle from jakheath.com)
Paper: Tangelo Smoothie, Raging River, Lime Juice, Cottonball White, Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps), Metallic Gold (DCWV)

thank you SNOW much

I just love the CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE every Monday on SCS. Today's challenge is A DAY IN THE SNOW.

I cannot take credit for the awesome coloring on this....I used a precolored digi. I used this adorable digi SNOWMAN CHEER from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

The sentiments are made using a free font SNF CELEBRITY SIGHTING being offered for a limited time from SCRAPNFONTS.

I played in Microsoft publisher to make this card. I opened text boxes and arranged the sentiments the way I wanted and inserted this cute snowman. Then just printed it out. I printed out an extra snowman and cut out and popped up just his hat. I cut 1/8" off the bottom of the card and adhered a small panel of black DP to the inside. This can be done, saved and Voila you have an instant card anytime you need ready to be printed. If you want it flat...just don't add anything.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images:
Snowman Cheer Digi (Clear Dollar Stamps), Computer generated sentiments using font SNF Celebrity Sighting (scrapnfonts)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White , Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers: Printer
Accents/Tools:Computer, Martha Stewart Baker's Twine, Basic Grey Indian Summer Button (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Dimensional Foam Tape
Techniques:Digital

CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #100

Its time for Splitcoaststampers' CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #100. The theme is "KISSING". You can view an SCS tutorial HERE.

I am happy to be a GUEST DESIGNER this week for this challenge.

I used the brand new release BABY BUNDLE from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

WHAT I DID! I stamped my sentiment repeatedly to get my partial background. Then I stamped the booties with Hot Cocoa on top of the sentiments so that the laces would show up above them on the white background. Then on separate Cottonball White CS I stamped my booties in Lime Juice then before stamping I did the kissing technique by taking the little flower background stamp in this set and stamped it in Hot Cocoa and stamped it directly to the stamp inked in Lime Juice. Then I stamped it on the white...I did this two times. I then cut out two full booties without the laces sponged them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain and adhered them to the booties on the front panel. Then I cut out only the fronts of the green booties, sponged them then popped them up with dimensional foam tape to the booties on the card. I popped up the white panel to the card. Done.

RECIPE:
Stamps/Images:
Baby Bundle (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Hot Cocoa (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Inks/Markers: Hot Cocoa, Lime Juice (Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Accents/Tools:Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Scallop Square Nestabilities, Tim Holtz Blender tool, Dimensional foam tape
