BEARY CHRISTMAS

I saw the Ways To Use It challenge to pop up an image last evening. It was late but I wanted to play. My SIL gave me a craft magazine from England. It had this Decoupage kit. I knew it was perfect for this challenge. It labels each thing you are to cut out and in what order to pop up.

I sponged the edges of each piece with Tim Holtz Antique Linen. It is light. I put it on white because I wanted the focus to be on the bear and wanted to keep it CAS.

Merry Christmas to you all.

PURRR-FECT FRIEND

This card came about because of the challenge set by Mothermark at her 125th TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE. The challenge was to take a blank canvas (cardbase) and paint, chalk, draw etc. So I drew my kittie, copied it onto dp and paper toled it and created this scene.

This card is going to my great friend Kris who is having surgery just days before Christmas. Love you Kris. Recover well. Insist on being waited on. Hee. Milk it gf.

Recipe:
Stamps:
None, Computer generated sentiment, my own hand drawn cat
Paper: Cottonball White, Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps), October Afternoon, Echo Park
Ink: Printer, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Accessories: Tim Holtz Blending Tool, Computer, Printer, Copier, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders oval nestabilities, CB Embossing folders Distressed Stripes and Houndstooth, Foam Tape, Score Tape (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Paper Piercer, Needle, DMC floss, Mouse Pad

I survived my Christmas Party I threw with 13 of his teenage friends. Yikes. Hee. They are good kids and it was fun. Except the FLARP gooh in the carpet. UGH.

So...it is Monday..time for the CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE on SCS. Today's challenge is to be inspired by this APRON.

First I made my card look like a feminine apron in shape. Pretty simple. I used the round label punch from Stampin Up for the neckline. The shape was just drawn freehand and cut out.

I used my new Flourishes stamp set MIX 'N' MUGS. Such a fun set. I was dieing to ink it up.

I used scraps for the bottom of the apron to look like the frills in the inspiration piece. They are only glued at the top of each panel so they pop up a little. This card will mail flat. A plus.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS

I have been having fun playing with this new set SANTA'S STAR from ANNABELLE STAMPS.
The challenge is to make a Christmas Creation. I did not have the above set so I used SANTA'S STAR instead.

I got this idea to make a fireplace setting for my stockings. I just embossed my red panel then sponged. I then used my square nesties to cut out a square and adhered it to my white card base.

The stockings are adhered at the tops only. To give the appearance of them hanging and give them a 3D look. This card is flat. Yay.

Stamps:
Santa's Star (Annabelle Stamps)
Paper: Strawberry Jam (Clear Dollar Stammps), Westcoast Hyper White, Strathmore Watercolor paper
Ink: versafine onyx black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps),Tombow Markers
