JANE'S DOODLES GIVE AWAY

Have you ever seen JANE BELJIO'S buttons? Oh my they are scrumptious. She makes the cutest handmade buttons. I just ordered some from her etsy store. The buttons on her blog header are the ones she makes. She is always busy keeping up with orders so to get your hands on some you may need to contact her personally about them.

Anyway....the reason for this post is Jane now has a line of her very own stamps called Jane's Doodles. The above picture is her first set. And she is giving it away. Just visit THIS post on her blog for the details on how to enter. Once you see her DT samples you'll want this set. I know I do.

5 MINUTE WEDDING CARD

I had a wedding reception to go to for a sweet young couple. I knew the groom from church. I was his Sunday School Teacher when he was 17. So I for the very first time EVER made a 5 minute card. I just kept it simple. This sweet image MONKEY LOVE from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS worked perfectly.

I don't have a picture of the inside but I took a 2" black panel and used a border punch to punch the top then adhered by the bottom and sides leaving a 1/4" border on the bottom and sides of the inside of the card. I placed my money gift inside. Worked great.

My son came away with a goldfish he name Charlie. How? They had a goldfish in a tall cylinder vase on every table as a centerpiece. It looked nice as gave a peaceful feel watching the fish was soothing. Of course I am the one that put it in a vase, gave it water and feeds it. Hmph!

RECIPE:
Stamps: Monkey Love (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Cottonball White, Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Accessories: Dimensionals

COLOR WEBS

People seem to either love Halloween or don't. I happen to be one of those that LOVE the colors and costumes and jack-0-lanterns. So I had fun making this card in Halloween colors. I love green, purple, orange and black together for Halloween.

So when I saw today's Ways To Use It Challenge VERSAMARK this is what came to my mind. Well....not exactly...my first idea bombed so this is what I worked out without scrapping it and starting over so that is why my images are not more centered. My original idea only needed the corners showing.

I used this adorable new release SPIDER GREETINGS from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I stamped my webs in VersaMark then used White embossing powder and heat embossed. Then went over them with Tim Holtz Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint then just sponged the edges with Walnut Stain.

I faux stitched around my main panel for this month's Fan Club Fabulous Faux Gallery.

RECIPE:
Stamps:
Spider Greetings (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Cottonball White, Night Eclipse (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: VersaMark, Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade, Walnut Stain, Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, White Gelly Roll Pen
Accessories: Top Boss White Embossing powder (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Heat Tool, Tim Holtz Blending Tool, Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy (SU), Paper Piercer, Mouse Pad, Dimensionals, 1 1/4, 1 3/8 circle punches (SU),
Techniques: Emboss Resist, Faux Stitching

GONE FISHING

Uh oh! That sweet colorful little fishie is not watching where he is going and swimming right into danger. See those fish on the bottom? Those are the SILVER FINS GANG. They like to make fun of fish like this, but as you can see they look more scared to me than joking. Bullies. HAH. Come follow me to MOTHERMARK'S TEAPOT TUESDAY TEAPARTY.
Last night I was browsing the Splitcoaststampers gallery and came across a cute card that inspired this one but I did not bookmark it and I have searched and cannot find it. But it linked me to this HERO ARTS MAKING WAVES TUTORIAL. So I tried it and loved it. Give it a try.
This card is also for the following challenges:
RECIPE:
Stamps: Basic Grey Clear Stamps
Paper: Cottonball White (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Broken China and Walnut Stain, Bic Mark-It Markers

STITCHED SCRIPTURE

Hi. I have been away for a bit. We went on a mini vacay to Crater Lake and Canon Beach, Oregon. My son surprised us with a visit this weekend before he deploys next week so I am very happy.
If you get a chance, you should play in today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE on SCS or at least check out the thread, great source of inspiration.
I chose this DISH TOWEL for my inspiration.
I drew my border design and hand stitched. For my sentiment and flowers I heat embossed instead of stitching them. I put gem stickers in the flower centers. I love how it turned out, I am thankful I played in today's challenge. I always am inspired to create something I otherwise would not have.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Scripture Occasions, Bird-day Hi! (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Night Eclipse (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Urban Prairie DP (Basic Grey)
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), VersaMark
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Top Boss White Embossing Powder (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Gem Stickers (Basic Grey from Clear Dollar Stamps), Needle, Paper Piercer, Mouse Pad, DMC floss, heat tool
Techniques: stitching, heat embossing
Thank you so much for visiting today. If you leave a comment I can visit you and check out your creations.

FURRY FELINE

Today is the first Friday of the month. Do you know what that means? It means it is time to win an entire month's releases from Clear Dollar Stamps. Wanna know how? Just play in this month's CLEARLY INSPIRED CHALLNGE #16. Just click on that link for all the details.

So...this month's theme is CUTE AND FURRY. I pulled out this cute Christmas set MEOWY CHRISTMAS. So if you have Clear Dollar Stamps....pull them out and play. If you don't....play with what you have.

I took my back panel of Red Velvet Cake CS and scored at 1" intervals then stamped with the cute little ornaments that come with this set with Momento Rich Cocoa. I sponged around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain. Then paper pierced. Pretty simple.

For my oval, I used my scallop and plain oval dies. For the oval I embossed and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Then I colored and sponged my image, cut it out and popped it up.

I put the sentiment MEOWY CHRISTMAS inside in red ink along with another cute image from the set in the corner and on the outside of the envelope.

This is a simple card for Christmas.

Hope you are inspired...now come play with us.

KYLER GETTING DEPLOYED

I just got off the telephone with my Marine son. He called to tell us he is getting deployed in 2 weeks. That is fast. It is unusual but it happens. He is going to Afghanistan or Bahrhain (please forgive my spelling). I always thought I would handle this news when it came and as soon as I heard I wanted to cry. I feel this is out of my hands. Could use your prayers...thank you. And thank you to all of you who serve our country and you family members. Praying for you too. Thank you.

FLUTTERING BUTTERFLY

I am having trouble sleeping. So what did I do? Make another card of course, Hee, for today's Clean And Simple Challenge WAYS TO USE POLKA-DOTS.
I just had to make another card since I knew I had the perfect handmade embellie RAK from my sweet friend Harriet. I just stitched through the buttons and sponged the edges with Only Orange and Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.
I paired it with this sentiment from BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Birthday Celebration (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Paper: Cottonball White (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Momento Rich Cocoa (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Only Orange (SU), Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Accessories: RAK from Harriet, Large round corner punch, dimensional, DMC floss, Needle
Techniques: Stitching, sponging
I am so glad you stopped by.

POLKA DOT CAKE

Did you do anything exciting this weekend? Me? Nah! However we are all safe and sound so that is good. I talked to my Marine son....that made me happy.

This is a simple simple super simple card I made for today's Clean And Simple Challenge WAYS TO USE POLKA-DOTS.

The first thing I thought of was this BIRTHDAY CAKE from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS and I used a sentiment from BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION too.

All I did was stamp my image, color it simply and cut it out. Then I measured a 1" border all around then stamped my sentiment where I wanted it. After that I made dots along the rest of the lines I made. I erased my pencil lines and popped up my cake. Simple enough for you? I love to color, so I could just sit down and make a dozen of these to have on hand. I am tempted.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Birthday Cake, Birthday Celebration (Clear Dollar Stamps)
PAPER:Cottonball White (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), ZIG Millennium .05 black pen
MARKERS:Bic Mark-It Markers
ACCESSORIES:dimensional

CUPCAKE SPIDER

How is your weekend going? I had an enjoyable day. I was able to put a couple cards together and they did not take me hours. Yay.

I played in today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE ON SCS.

Congratulations Alanna aka AL_SILVER2 for being today's Featured Stamper. I just love your style.

I chose this card of Alanna's to case.

Changes I made:
Made an inside to my card
Made a smaller punched panel on white card
Added an embossed sentiment

I am using the newly released set today called SPIDER GREETINGS from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS

RECIPE:
STAMPS
: Spider Greetings (Clear Dollar Stamps#
PAPER:Cottonball White, Night Eclipse #from Clear Dollar Stamps#
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black #from Clear Dollar Stamps#, VersaMark, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain
MARKERS:Copics, Grey Bic Mark-It marker
ACCESSORIES:Martha Stewart Spider border and corner punches, Top Boss White embossing Powder #from Clear Dollar Stamps), Dimensionals, Tim Holtz Blending Tool, Heat Tool
TECHNIQUES:Sponging

Here is the inside. This will be for my son's 17 birthday which is in October. That is why I felt it was appropriate to use this set with the spider. I used his favorite colors, red and black. We always give him money so he can get what he wants so I made the inside border to hold money.

Thank you so much for looking. If you leave me a comment, I can come look at your creations.
