Card Sketch Challenge #273

This is my card for yesterday's Card Sketch Challenge. I have been having trouble with my feet lately and was at the doctors and was not able to get it uploaded til now. I have air socks (like mini air casts) to wear until my orthopodic inserts come in. I am feeling much better wearing these. Yay.

Anyhow......I had this idea to do with this cute caboose. So I was happy it worked with this sketch. I used this cute new release CUTE CABOOSE from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I paper toled the caboose and used glaze for the windows. To do the puppy, I placed a piece of copy paper under the window and stamped the puppy over it so I just got his head. The punch I used under the caboose is a Christmas punch by EK Success called Icecycles. I use it for grass all the time, though it does make a nice fence, doesn't it?!

RECIPE:

CDS STAMPS USED:Cute Caboose
CS/PAPERS:Neenah Solar White (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Chocolate Chip (Stampin Up), Berry (The Paper Company), Basic Grey (old dp)
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Bernuda Bay (Stampin Up)
MARKERS: Bic Mark-It Markers
ACCENTS/TOOLS:Stampin Up Corner Punch, Sponge, Martha Stewart Border Punch, eyelets, dimensional glaze (inkessentials), dimensionals, cuttlebug, CB embossing folder, EK icecycles (Christmas) border punch
COLORING: Colored with markers and sponged edges with ink
TECHNIQUES:paper tole, sponging

Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday #86

How are you at Crossword puzzles? Probably not as much of a whiz as Christoper Cross Spelling! But poor Christopher is stumped and on all words, TEAPOT. We are to bring hints for poor Christopher.

I am talking about Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge #86 of course. Come join the fun.

I brought my bright teacup to catch his attention, which is RAK from Cindy aka Mothermark. Thank you Cindy. I inked up your RAK today and for a teaparty too. Also since the teapot has a crossword puzzle I had to work that in somewhere, so I made a crossword border with words associated with our fun teaparties.
Also I used RAK paper from my BSF Karen.

Clean And Simple Challenge #59

Happy Monday. Were those groans I heard? Yeah, Monday's are not always our happiest day. Huh?!
This is my card for today's Clean And Simple Challenge #59 on SCS.
The theme is New York City. You might be asking what does a mouse have to do with New York City? Well....this particular mouse is Fievel Moskowitz' baby sister. Get it now? No? Well you do have to go back to the 1986 movie AN AMERICAN TAIL. Fievel and his family go to America and get separated. Fievel travels in a bottle and finds himself in , yep you guessed it, NEW YORK CITY and sets off looking for his family.
I had this cute new release PIPPIN MOUSE FAMILY from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS and just had to use it for this challenge.
RECIPE:
CDS STAMPS USED:Pippin Mouse Family
CS/PAPERS:Black (DCWV), Gray CS (Brand unknown), DP (Little Yellow Bicycle)

Featured Stamper Challenge #163

My sweet friend Cathy aka Mutnik is today's Featured Stamper Check out her gallery.

I love Cathy's creative artistic style. I love her hills, colors, drawing skills and "Mutnik Squares", so I had to do a card with them (mutnik squares).

I chose this card.

Changes I made:
Image (I just had to use this new digi)
Main panel white and embossed
Added a Sentiment

This adorable bird house is a new digi FREEBIE from Laurie's blog Clearly Delightful. Go snatch it up for yourself. I used Microsoft Word 2007. I clicked on insert, then clicked on picture and selected it from my files. I then made it the size I wanted with the box that appears. For the sentiment, I opened a text box and inserted the sentiment just like I did for the image and placed the box where I wanted it. Then I right clicked on the text box and selected Format Text Box and clicked on the color and selected no color, that gets rid of the box line. That's it.

RECIPE:
Stamps:
Tweethouse (Clearly Delightful Digi Image FREEBIE)
Paper: Neenah Solar White (from Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Printer, Bic Mark-It Markers
Accessories: Cuttle Bug, CB Embossing Folder, Dimensions, Ruler, Pencil, Computer

Sketch Challenge #270

What a great sketch to play with for today's Sketch Challenge #270.

I just had to ink up this new release of my favorite flower DAISY DUO from CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS.

I used the masking technique to do my bg flowers. I stamped the two then used a mask I made from a post-it-note then stamped again overlapping it and just repeated where I wanted. I popped up a white daisy by stamping the two on white paper twice and cutting out the bigger one first the whole flower and second the top petals of the flower. I stamped the flowe again on the yellow dp and cut out only the center. I did not need to use dimensionals. I just pulled up the petals. Also for dimension I just inked the edges.

RECIPE:
CDS STAMPS USED:Daisy Duo
CS/PAPERS:Neenah Solar White (from Clear Dollar Stamps), Kraft, Black (DCWV), The Best of K & Company paper pack
INK:Momento Tuxedo Black (from Clear Dollar Stamps),Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, Basic Gray (Stampin Up), Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)
ACCENTS/TOOLS:Scallop Trim Border Punch (Stampin Up), Clear Daisy Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest from Clear Dollar Stamps), Post-It-Notes, Tim Holtz Blending Tool, Sponge
