SPD - What's Mew?

I just love SugarPea Designs images. They make me smile.
Wanna know how you can win a SPD GC?
It's Challenge time.........SPD07 You're So Punny...........Bring on your Punny.

For my punny themed card I chose to use the SPD stamp set What's Mew
Wendy made it easy to be Punny with this cute sentiment and kitty.   I played off the sentiment by coloring only the kitty. I wanted to make my card a house shape and this is what I came up with.  I cut strips, embossed them and popped them up for a little dimension, texture and interest.  Plus I folded the shutters in just a little for more interest.

This card is also for
My kitty acts as the butterfly in the sketch and the shutters are for the filigrees.
Fun sketch.  There is still a little time to play, you should come play.

I think doing the inside of the card finishes it off nicely, so I just stamped the image in the
matching ink to my base paper.  Just what it needed.

Be sure to check out the inspiration from the SugarPeas  on the SugarPea Designs Blog

Fab Friday Charles

It's Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks
What does that mean?
Eye candy from the Tiddly Inks Design Team.
I used this hottie Charles's Tulips from Tiddly Inks
I colored him up using the simple one marker Copic coloring technique, cut him out twice.
The first image, I cut him out completely.
The second, I only cut out his hair, jacket and cuff on his right leg.
The first image was adhered flat to the card front.  The second pieces, were popped up with dimensional tape.
Here is the inside.
I left him in black and white and I flipped the image.

Stamps:  Charles's Tulips (Tiddly Inks)  Paper: True Black (Papertrey Ink), Recollections White 110# (Michaels), Neenah Solar White 80#, Anthologie (We R Memory Keepers)  Ink:  Printer, Copics: C1, C3, C5, G24, V000 Accessories:  Corner Chomper 1/4" corner rounder, Scotch Dimensional Tape

And please stop by Kate's blog to wish her a happy birthday!
I wanted to create a fun birthday card for Kate that would make her smile.
I knew when I saw the Less Is More Challenge to adapt a fingerprint .........exactly what I was gonna do.  So I sponged my grass using a mask I created with Lawn Fawn's Grass Border Die then stamped my thumbprints with Memento ink.  I used a pen to bring him to life and make my speech bubble then stamped my sentiment that I created using a Technique Tuesday set that I masked to create "HB".

This card is also for this week's Less Is More Challenge
Week #180 One Layer Card
Adapt A Fingerprint

Also I played in the
CASology Challenge Week 104: Pet

I used the following products from i {heart} papers
(I used to sponge my grass)

Lawn Fawn Grass Border Die
(Created my mask with this fun die for my grass)

Say It - Hello Stamp Set (Technique Tuesday)

(Created my sentiment by masking off letters to make my "HB" for Happy Birthday)

Memento Dew Drop Ink Pads - Sorbet Scoops Assortment

(I used 707 Bamboo Leaves for the frog and 704 New Sprout to sponge the grass)

SPD Oceans Of Love

A Brand new Sugar Sketch is up at Sugar Pea Designs.
Come play with us using any image, you can win a $15 GC when you use a SPD image.
You'll find more inspiration from the DT on the SPD Blog.

I am also playing in Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge

I used the new release SeaSide Wishes
I made my card horizontal and of acetate so you can see through it.
Here is a straight on shot so you can see the sentiment on the inside.
 Here is another angle.
I think acetate cards are so fun.  For my image, I cut out an oval that matches the front ova from my white cardstock and stamped my image.  Then I cut her out. colored her up and popped her onto the front. Easy peasy.

Thanks for visiting. Enjoy your day!

Sweet 2 Repeat July Blog Hop

Welcome to SugarPea Designs' Sweet 2 Repeat July Blog Hop!

  Isn't she just the sweetest!

I stamped my image onto white cardstock.
I drew more bed spread to extend to the length of my card (4 1/4 square).
I paper pieced my bed spread and pillow.  Colored the rest with copics and popped up using dimensional tape.

I used a 4 1/4 x 10" piece of kraft cardstock.
I used the extra 1 1/2" to make a pocket for my prayer cards I made that fit inside.
I covered it with matching dp from the front and punched out part of a circle.
They are each 3 1/2 square from white cardstock.  Used kraft ink to stamp the image on them so names can be written onto the prayer list right over the image.

I used the July release stamp set

i {heart} papers Chocolate Box

Here is my version of the Ghiradelli Box.
I punched a half circle in the front and slid my flap on the inside.

I used Lindt assorted chocolates.

I added a ribbon loop at the top by punching two holes and tieing knots on the underside.
I layered my die cut 5 times, adhered it to the front then finished it off with enamel dots.

Here's how I did my ribbon for the top of the box.
I just stamped on the twill ribbon using Versfine Onyx Black ink.  It worked like a gem.
I did both sides.

I used the following products from i [heart] papers:

May Arts White Twill Ribbon
